AIAIAI TMA-1 Studio Headphones
Call me old-fashioned, but the recent rise and ubiquity of gaudy, candy-colored Beats by Dre and Skullcandy headphones adorning the dome of every NBA baller, wannabe Bieber and suburban skater makes me think our country’s demise is coming on quickly. Get your hair out of your eyes, stop staring at your phone and pull up your pants while you’re at it, youngsters!
I digress. In a world of decreasing quality of musical recording (thanks to the compression needed to make 30,000 songs fit on your iPhone), less and less people care about the true quality of sound, and simultaneously headphones have become some sort of weird post-hipster fashion statement. Thankfully for those of us who do care about that quality, there’s a new update coming to the classic AIAIAI TMA-1 Studio Headphones. Suitable for proper DJing and studio production, these things possess more than enough quality to help you tune out that awful family bickering in O’Hare’s B Concourse, to overcome the hiss of the latte machine at Peet’s or – imagine that! – to just enjoy a proper LP listening session.
These gorgeous headphones come to us courtesy of The Ghostly Store, the merchandising arm of the Ghostly International music-label-cum-great-aesthetic-taste-empire. Look for more in the near future from Want about Ghostly, but in the meantime, if you like music, you could do worse than checking (quite literally) any of their artists out.
